Project Description: Production and processing of agricultural
harvest throughout Northern California has created the need
for drying and processing fruits. As water is used during this
process and waste produced, Sunsweet Growers was mandated by
the California Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
Board to address the potential degradation of groundwater.
H&A was retained to provide environmental engineering and geological
services for the investigation and evaluation of wastewater.
These services included preparation of a regulatory workplan
and reports, installation of groundwater monitoring wells, and
collection and analyses of chemical and hydrogeological data.
Throughout these services, Sunsweet has remained in full compliance
with RWQCB requirements and maintained a viable business.
