Storage Tank Removals, Groundwater Monitoring
H&A
was retained to provide Underground
Storage Tank removal, monitoring well installations, and regulatory
compliance services. Twenty-one (21) heating oil USTís were
removed throughout the school district. As part of the removal
process, soil samples were collected and analyzed and found
to contain high levels of petroleum hydrocarbons. H&A services
included the preparation of workplans, the installation of monitoring
wells, evaluation of hydrogeological data, groundwater sampling
and analyses, and technical reporting. Through ongoing efforts
of evaluation of chemical and hydrogeological data, H&A has
been able to achieve regulatory closure of all twenty-one leaking
UST sites. These services were provided without disruption of
the schools while protecting human health and the environment.
